A Few Things to Know, Before You Start...
U.S. citizens must obtain a valid Brazilian visa before traveling to Brazil. Since April 10, 2025, Brazil has reinstated visa requirements for U.S. passport holders traveling for tourism, business, transit, and other short-term visits.
Brazil e-Visa (Visitor Visa – VIVIS)

The most common visa for U.S. citizens is the Brazil e-Visa (VIVIS), which can be obtained online before travel.

Visa required for all U.S. citizens traveling to Brazil.

Multiple-entry visa.

Valid for up to 10 years.

Maximum stay of 90 days per visit.

Total stay cannot exceed 180 days within a 12-month period.

Applications must be approved before departure.

Required Documents For Brazil E-Visa
1- Your Passport

Passport must be valid for at least 6 months (calculate from date of departure)

Passport must contain at least two blank Visa page.

PLEASE NOTE: Pages in the back of the passport for Amendments and Endorsement DO NOT count as visa pages.

Your passport MUST be decent condition and signed.

1- Authorization Letter

Authorization Letter for issuance of Brazilian visa for a minor - Singed by both parents and notarized with the notary's stamp and signature.
2- Original birth certificate.
3- Copy of Passports or Another Valid Photo ID For Both Parents.
